"Autumn Rain" - CD & downloads

The new release "Autumn Rain" will be available in June. Skillful guitar playing and talented songwriting both shine in this collection of songs. From the bluesy “Autumn Rain” to the airy finger picked “South Wind” these tracks bring peaceful movements and imaginative progressions for an enjoyable listen. “Thinking of You”, a jazzy flowing instrumental lifts you to fresh places with new perspectives.
I also love # 8, “Open Road”, it's like starting out in the sunshine on an eventful journey.

"Freedom's Call" - CD & downloads

Blends of New Orleans influences are injected into this 10 track CD carrying a cool rock and blues style to the listener for a pleasurable sonic trip. "Freedom's Call" starts on the road with a finger picked blues song "Ain't No Lie". This track is an acoustic down home tribute to the past guitar players who laid a foundation of folk style blues across the south. "Can't Take My Joy" jumps the pace up a notch or two and rolls into a jazzy start of three cruzin’ tracts to follow, “Don’t Look Back”, “Step It Up” and “Closer to You”. "Your Love'' a song written for Stephy, gives us a swirl of golden tone and colorful lyrics. “Twilight” follows mellow as a country road softened by a summer rain. ”Mighty Hand" drives us along followed by "Clear Skies” bringing the listener to the title tract "Freedom's Call". A powerful progression with delicate guitar voicing and tight interplay between musicians leaving the listener at the destination refreshed!

"In the Making" - CD & downloads

A howling wind sings you to sleep at night as you dream of a lady who is miles away. Bewitching betrayals of gospel truth. The haunting coldness of a tortuous dream put to words and music. The pure but essential love and grace of Christ. These are only a few of the messages that spring from the Capdepon ~ Steadman debut CD, "In The Making". Craig Capdepon and Mark Steadman have been writing songs and making music together for over two decades. Both reside and play music on the Northshore, a community that sits quietly in the pines, just across Lake Pontchartrain from the city of New Orleans. Their unique sound is a blend of folk, folk rock, rock, with a slight coloration from the blues and jazz. The mixture of all of these styles are contained in a collection of ten songs that are all written by the artists. The lyrics address a day in the life of the faithful. A rootsy blend of the acoustic and electric guitars are complemented by skillful passages of slide guitar, dulcimer, and wired electric solos. The two are backed by John Taylor on bass guitar, Brian Domingues on drums, percussion, and backup vocals, and Dee Dee Domingues also on backup vocals. Both Taylor and Domingues have played extensively in the New Orleans area. Their skills accent the songwriting style and musicianship of Capdepon ~ Steadman. This CD is both simple and complex. It provides a truthful look at life and it's meaning. If you are a true believer this album will speak to you. If you are searching for truth the CD is powerfully persuasive and believable!
